Day 5

We left camp at 9:30am, with 1 beautiful km until the continental divide. Reaching the continental divide we crossed into Jasper National Park and into Alberta before descending down the other side of the continent.

Shortly after leaving the divide we ran into a person, for the first time in 5 days, who was on his 11th day of the Northern Boundary Trail through Jasper. He was running up to the divide from Calumet Creek camp (52km) to look down the Moose River valley. He passed us again on his way back to camp before we caught up to him packing up at Calumet Creek.
We continued west down the valley beside Calumet creek as a mild rain began. About 5 minutes after everyone put the rain gear on the rain stopped, although it looked as if it would start again soon.

Calumet creek soon merged with the Smokey River as we turned south toward Berg Lake and Mount Robson. After going south a little ways we could see down the valley to what I (correctly) assumed was the bottom of Mount Robson at the end of the valley (the majority was covered in rain clouds).
The rain started up again soon so we stopped at an early 5pm this day. We camped at the Adolphus camp, or what we later (the next day) realized was the Adolphus Horse camp; approximately 4km from Berg Lake (and 500m from the non-horse Adolphus camp).

There was a light rain on and off for the rest of the evening as we ate a good pasta dinner beside a nice fire, under the cover of some thick fur? trees.
