Cathedral Lakes (2005.09.01)
Camp was setup at Pyramid Lake on the first day and three days were spent hiking and exploring the area. We did the Lakeview Mountain trail, Rim Trail and scrambled up Pyramid mountain.

Day 1
The hike in from the parking lot to Pyramid Lake. We took the 1km shorter (15km) gravel road (used by the Lodge jeep).

Day 2
Hiked the Lakeview Mountain trail, continued to the Boxcar and back to camp along the Goat Lake Trail.

Day 3
Hiked the entire Rim Trail loop. Starting at the North side near Scout Lake the trail traveles over Red Mountain, over Quiniscoe Mountain, past Pyramid Mountain, past the Devils Woodpile. From Stone City we went to Smokey the Bear and the Giant Cleft before returning to camp along the Ladyslipper Trail to complete the loop.

Day 4
A short scramble up Pyramid Mountain. We almost stayed at camp this day due to weather, it hailed for a short period during the scramble up, otherwise the weather worked out. We hiked back down the west side of Pyramid Mountain to Glacier Lake.

Day 5
For the hike out we stayed on the 16km hiking trail (instead of jeep road) until the views were gone.
